Michigan business owner hands out $4 million in Christmas bonuses
Here's an uplifting story as we count down the days until Christmas. Lee Schoenherr and his wife, Joan, had been thinking of doing something nice for the workers at Ludington-based FloroCraft. Schoenherr is the chairman of the family-owned business, which is the worlds largest producer of foam products for crafts and the floral industry. The Schoenherr's decided on handing out hefty Christmas bonuses - to the tune of $4 million total - to the roughly 200 employees. MORE

Michigan immigrant numbers at highest level in decades
 
About 7 percent of Michigan residents in 2017 were born outside America. It is the state's highest percentage of foreign-born residents in more than 50 years.
