It's a presidential election year. And before we get to that big voting day, we have the August election to get through. For clerks across Michigan, elections in the time of the coronavirus means plenty of planning. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson sent out absentee ballot applications to registered voters throughout the state, in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19. But voters must be able to cast a ballot in person, if they so choose. Benson said measures are being taken to ensure social distancing and other safety measures at precincts across Michigan.
