Climate change could trigger drastic swings in Great Lakes water levels
 
The water levels on the Great Lakes fluctuate. There is no denying that. This year's record high levels certainly are troublesome. However, we are only a few years removed from concerns about low water levels on the lakes. But high or low is only the surface of the issue. Researchers predict climate change will create massive and more frequent pendulum swings for our lakes: From higher highs to lower lows.
