Confirmed coronavirus cases in Michigan climb to 53 as officials urge social distancing
 
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer wants Michigan residents to assume they have COVID-19 and act in a way that would prevent spreading the virus. Whitmer's urging for caution and social distancing came during an announcement Sunday night that confirmed new cases of coronavirus within the state. By the end of the night, a total of 20 additional cases were confirmed, making the state's total 53. State officials are monitoring bars, restaurants and other gathering places to make sure they are obeying an executive order that bans groups of 250 or more people in one place. Some counties have taken extra precautions, cutting the capacity at bars and restaurants to 50%. MORE
