NAACP Convention in Detroit brings some of the top Democrats to the podium
 
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday was among a handful prominent Democrats to take center stage at the 110th NAACP Convention in Detroit. Others who spoke yesterday included: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, U.S. Sens. Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow and U.S. Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Brenda Lawrence. Pelosi touched on a number of topics during her roughly 15-minute speech. The convention concludes Wednesday. The final day features a Democratic presidential primary candidate forum in the morning. MORE

Diocese adds eight more to list of those accused of sex abuse
 
The Catholic Diocese in Saginaw has added eight names to its online list of clergy with at least one credible allegation of child sexual abuse against them. Five of the eight individuals named are deceased. The number of clergy associated with these types of charges has reached 30. MORE

After hitting his first career walk-off home run Sunday, Castellanos unloaded some choice words about the only Major League park he's called home.
