April 30, 2021 The Lions don’t have many strengths, which shouldn’t come as a surprise after three straight last-place finishes led to yet another regime change in Detroit. But their offensive line is awfully good. And it just got even better. An early run on quarterbacks and pass-catchers pushed top offensive lineman Penei Sewell down the board, and the Lions opted to take the Oregon offensive tackle with the seventh overall pick. They took Sewell over quarterbacks like Alabama’s Mac Jones or Ohio State’s Justin Fields, or trading the pick to someone who wanted one. But, if you take one look at Sewell, it’s easy to see why. He allowed one sack in his career at Oregon, and turned in the highest-rated season ever by an offensive lineman in 2019, according to ProFootballFocus. The study found that the women were 20 times more likely to die than pregnant women who were not infected, and the women with COVID were also more likely to experience preterm birth, preeclampsia and admission to the ICU and/or intubation. Another study was recently released that looks at the effects of the COVID-19 vaccine on pregnant women. Among the vaccinated women who have given birth so far, there were no neonatal deaths. Join our Michigan Weather group on Facebook Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced Thursday that branch offices statewide will continue booking appointments and end the traditional process of customers taking numbers and waiting to be served. Benson announced the plans, first implemented to keep customers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside a proposed “Service-Driven Legislative Agenda.” Benson claims booking appointments is more popular than the traditional method and compliments the department’s recent changes, such as renewing driver’s licenses online.
