Amish community sued by Michigan health dept.  over sewage disposal
 
The Lenawee County Health Department has filed a lawsuit against 14 Amish families, claiming they are using improper sewage disposal methods. The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan has stepped in with a countersuit, claiming the health department's expectations infringe on the Amish community's freedom of religion.
