Pfizer hosting job fair, to hire 650 over next few years   Pfizer is planning a job fair in Kalamazoo to fill 200 immediate openings. The pharmaceutical corporation is looking to fill positions in manufacturing, engineering, and skilled trades, among others. Pfizer plans to hire an additional 450 workers over the next few years for its Portage plant. These Republicans are lining up behind Whitmer, not Schuette   Gretchen Whitmer is getting a boost in her bid to become Michigan governor from members of the rival party. Leaders from past administrations have formed a coalition called "Republicans and Independents for Whitmer." One official cited Whitmer's support for expanding Medicaid in Michigan as cause for his support.
