CBD and DVDs: Family Video goes all in on hemp products
 
The decline of the brick and mortar video rental store has been well documented. (How many former Blockbuster storefronts can you count in your town?) Family Video, so far, has remained solvent. And it plans to remain so by finding different ways to remain relevant and sourcing diverse revenue streams. The latest is the current CBD -- or cannabidiol -- alternative remedy trend. CBD is made from the cannabis plant. The science isn't in as to the effectiveness of CBD. However, Family Video certainly is getting some buzz for offering a full range of CBD products in all of its 250 stores nationwide. MORE

The state legislature is taking on Michigan's no-fault insurance law again. The Senate passed a bill Tuesday that would usher in major changes. However, it remains uncertain as to what extent the changes will alter insurance rates. The bill passed along mostly party lines with a pair of Democrats joining the Republican majority.
