Michigan at over 100 coronavirus cases with first COVID-19 death reported in state

During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave her condolences to loved ones of the first person to die of coronavirus in Michigan. Whitmer also revealed that the state has more than 100 cases, but a lack of tests means a limited ability to see the actual scope of the virus. Limited resources are a problem, Whitmer told media, also saying that the state expects more COVID-19 fatalities to occur. The governor said she has not ruled out a "shelter-in-place" order -- a measure that has been taken elsewhere as an increased precaution to fight the spread of coronavirus. MORE
