Keep yourself safe on the Great Lakes |
As Lake Michigan water temperatures continue to rise, we want to bring awareness. Lake Michigan is the the deadliest Great Lake. According to the Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project, it has already taken 13 lives in 2023.
Remember, the flag system established by the DNR shows when it is safe to enter the water, and when it is not. If you ever find yourself in a situation struggling with water over your head, the Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project recommends to flip, float and follow. |
