U.S. Rep. Justin Amash made a splash earlier this month when he became the first Republican congressman to support impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. Amash, R-Cascade Township, convened a town hall meeting Tuesday night to explain his reasoning and field questions from constituents. A mostly supportive crowd of 700-800 showed up, but the meeting did get heated at times. The high school spring sports season has rounded the final corner and is heading into the home stretch. Playoffs are in full swing for lacrosse, baseball, softball and soccer.
