"It was too much -- school was too much, living in a shelter was too much, worrying about the day-to-day was too much," Blake McClellan admitted in his valedictorian speech. And while Blake overcame those challenges as a teen experiencing homelessness to graduate at the top of his class, not all kids in his situation are so lucky. In Michigan, nearly half of homeless students fail to graduate from high school. West Nile virus detected across Michigan in mosquitoes, goose
 
Recent tests have revealed the West Nile virus in three Michigan counties. In Saginaw and Oakland counties, mosquitoes tested positive for the virus, while a goose in Kalamazoo County also returned a positive test. The three tests are the first indications of West Nile in the state this year. MORE
