It's been six weeks since Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed the stay-at-home executive order to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Many businesses remain closed, and schools and universities are empty. After weeks of social distancing, Michigan is still seeing new cases of COVID-19, by the hundreds. If people are staying apart, how are new cases popping up? Patterns are becoming more apparent as time goes on. Statewide, many of the new cases involve essential workers.
