December 21, 2020 Hospitals across the United States are launching coronavirus vaccination programs, and officials hope to have up to 20 million health-care workers and nursing-home residents immunized by the end of 2020. It’s an effort being lauded as a major turning point in the COVID-19 pandemic, which has killed more than 300,000 Americans and more than 11,000 in Michigan. The nation’s largest auto museum is offering a limited number of Model T driver’s training classes for 2021. The Gilmore Car Museum is about a half hour northeast of Kalamazoo. Usually cars like this are only on display for people to look at, but the museum has a fleet of seven authentic Model T Fords it uses for the driving classes. Students will learn how to drive one of these antiques, which have no gas pedal, no fuel gauge and no speedometer. DETAILS For a second straight week, the Detroit Lions hung with one of the best teams in the league for three quarters. They have Matthew Stafford to thank for that. Of course, they still lost both games. They have their defense to thank for that.
