Michigan State University committed "serious violations" of the Clery Act, according to the results of a federal investigation launched as a result of the Larry Nassar abuse scandal. The Clery Act is a federal law targeted at campus safety. A preliminary report on the study, which examined the university between 1997 and 2017, states MSU is guilty of a "lack of institutional control." It specifically found that Michigan State failed to implement a system that would stop the sexual abuse committed by Nassar. It's been less than two months that marijuana has been legal for recreational use in Michigan. In that time, more than 250 municipalities have banned businesses that would sell the substance. That does still leave plenty of cities and townships across the state that remain fair game for recreational marijuana businesses, including bigger cities like Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing and Ann Arbor.
