First Hurricane Dorian photos from Bahamas show devastation
 
The severe weather that could have cropped up across most parts of lower Michigan on Tuesday never really materialized. Mostly. There were a few scattered thunderstorms across the state. But the potential for widespread severe weather fizzled. Maybe that isn't such a bad thing. Those in the path of Hurricane Dorian would have loved a fizzle. Some of the first photos out of the Bahamas show massive flooding and damage. And, just so you know, there's no need to adjust your dial. The photo above is blurry. It was taken during hurricane force winds, so we'll give the photog a pass. MORE

The first week of the season didn't alter the college football landscape all that much. Our weekly Big Ten rankings reflect that. Aside from some middle-of-the-pack jostling, most things remain unchanged. (Michigan and Michigan State didn't budge much in the national rankings, either.) Our statewide prep top 50 ranking was much more volatile. Four new teams entered the rankings and four teams moved into our top 10.
