Gorgeous ice shards along Lake Michigan offer final glimpse of winter's beauty
 
As the last vestiges of winter melt away, MLive multimedia specialist Joel Bissell set out to do something special Tuesday on the eve of spring. He headed to South Haven to capture video of him jumping into the frigid Lake Michigan waters. He wasn't able to do that. However, he was rewarded for his attempted derring-do all the same. Shards of ice have piled up along the Lake Michigan shoreline. And Bissell was there, camera in hand, to snap some wonderful shots before Old Man Winter's grasp on the land fades away and recedes beneath the waves. MORE
