Three things the legislature may tackle during lame duck session
When the Michigan legislature returns from the two-week hunting break, there are a number of issues it may want to address before Republican Governer Rick Snyder steps aside in January before Democrat Governor-elect Gretchen Whitmer takes over. Republicans retained their majorities in the house and senate after the Nov. 6 election. Crazy winter sports you'll actually find in Michigan

Sure, it isn't technically winter yet. But your Michigan brain knows full well that when it snows, it is already winter. Maps be damned! You could go skiing, and sure, that would be fun. But why not switch it up this year? Have a kayak collecting dust in your garage during the winter months? pull that puppy out and find a snowy hill. Yes, snow kayaking is a thing! If you are looking for a high flying stunt, check out ice climbing. We recommend heading to Munising during their annual festival. Oh, and take your favorite golfer out on the ice. They will actually crack a smile this winter. MORE
