Larry Nassar's former boss at MSU Dr. William Strampel arrested in Ingham County
A Michigan State University spokesperson confirmed Monday that Dr. William Strampel has been arrested. Strampel, 70, is listed as an inmate in Ingham County jail, though no charges are listed. The Michigan Attorney General's office did not confirm the arrest. Strampel, the former dean of the MSU's College of Osteopathic Medicine, is facing revocation of his tenure by interim MSU President John Engler, the first step in terminating his employment. The move is in response to Strampel's failure to monitor and enforce clinical practice guidelines put in place for Nassar following a 2014 sexual harassment investigation. MORE

Two-acre island on market can be yours for $495K

Tired of city life? Wanna get away from your in-laws? Hard to get more secluded than an island off an island off the eastern shore of the Upper Peninsula. Howard Island features two cabins, a boathouse, a deep-water dock, lots of trees and no neighbors. And it all is for sale in a package deal that includes a pontoon boat and vintage furniture. The island is located in Potogannissing Bay - remember that for our Michigan trivia round later - off the northern coast of Drummond Island. Sounds like a slice of Up North heaven to us. MORE

Lions GM says cutting Ebron was all about the money

The decision to cut tight end Eric Ebron came down to the final hour. In the end, Detroit general manager Bob Quinn made a business decision that saved the team $8.25 million. Quinn, who is in Orlando for the NFL owners meetings, didn't share Lions fans' angst toward the former first round pick. However, he didn't want to pay the enigmatic pass catcher, either. MORE
