Detroit Lions season fittingly ends with another heartbreaking loss
 
You just can't make this stuff up. (And if you could, why would you want to? It is just too darn depressing.) The Detroit Lions were in it. In fact, they were leading most of the way. But, alas, Aaron Rodgers on Sunday reprised his role as Lucy and that left our Lions as Charlie Brown: Another valiant attempt at a fourth win on the year, another loss to add to the pile. This time a field goal as time expired led to the Lions ninth loss in a row.

Snow, 60 mph wind gusts, big waves kick in today

Where is winter? Well, we will find out today. The snow returns to most of Michigan as we count down the final days of the year. The Western Upper Peninsula is expected to get the brunt of winter's return. However, much of West Michigan could see up to 6 inches of snow. As always, we'll have updates throughout the day.

Parents of slain Swartz Creek man talk about son, homicide investigation
 
Karl and Pamela Bacon spoke with reporters Sunday, a little more than 24 hours after learning their son, Kevin, was dead. Their son went missing on Christmas Eve. He was found dead four days later. Michigan State Police have said a 50-year-old male suspect is in custody and likely will face open murder charges.

Jon Teske made sure this one was never really close with a career-high 25 point game. Michigan State closed a busy sports weekend with a night tip against Western Michigan.
