Michigan was awarded nearly $237 million in federal dollars to support job growth and small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The May 2022 funding will go to entrepreneurs launching new businesses or industries with high job growth potential.

State of COVID: The number of counties at a high community COVID-19 level decreased by half. The CDC recommends residents in 5 counties in Michigan to mask.
Released on bond: A judge set a $100,000 bond for Christopher Schurr, the Grand Rapids police officer who fatally shot Patrick Lyoya. According to statement from the Calhoun County Jail, he posted the bond and was released from custody.
The features: The digital license plates come with a smartphone app that includes the ability to switch the plate’s display between a light and dark mode, personalize a banner message on the plate, receive alerts if the vehicle is moving and report the vehicle stolen.
How to get one: The plates, called RPlate, can be purchased directly at reviver.com as well as a number of Reviver auto dealer partners throughout Michigan.
