Gov.-elect Whitmer names cabinet members
 
Gretchen Whitmer on Thursday named a handful of cabinet officials, including heads of the Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Transportation. As the director of the DEQ, Liesl Eichler Clark will help Whitmer tackle her first priority: clean drinking water. Paul Ajegba, as director of MDOT, will assist Whitmer as she addresses her campaign promise to "fix the damn roads." MORE

Bowl season heats up for U-M, MSU and rest of Big Ten Conference

Minnesota got the Big Ten off to a quality start during Bowl season with a win Wednesday in the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field. The rest of the conference hopes to follow suit over the next few days.
