Michigan faces tall task in title game vs. Villanova
Two days after knocking out America's Cinderella sweetheart Sister Jean, ahem, Loyola-Chicago in the NCAA semifinals, Michigan will go toe-to-toe tonight with America's best college basketball team Villanova with the title on the line. At least, that is the national storyline. Few are giving the Wolverines much of a shot to win the school's second men's basketball title. They are 6.5 point underdogs against a Villanova team going for its second title in three years. But we've watched Michigan play the role of underdog most of the season, and play it well. Don't count out Mo Wagner, Charles Mathews and the rest of John Beilein's guys just yet. We sure aren't. C'mon Blue, time to shock the world! MORE

The most recent took place Sunday afternoon, and left an officer in a hospital in stable condition with a gunshot to his leg, and the suspected shooter dead. Witness accounts were mixed as to who shot first. Police were responding to a report of a domestic assault. MORE

Another big snowstorm on tap for a winter which won't end

An occasional spring snow isn't uncommon for us. But this is getting ridiculous. MLive chief meteorologist Mark Torregrossa is reading the computer model tea leaves, and the story they tell isn't pretty: Snow is in the forecast for much of Michigan this week. Apparently, we are fools to believe April means rain showers and, in turn, May flowers. It's more like April snow brings a collective d'oh! Are we right? MORE

Review: 'Ready Player One' posts fine score with Spielberg at the controls

If pop culture references are your thing, MLive film critic John Serba has got a movie for you. But even he admits he missed some of the many old-school references packed into Steven Spielberg's latest visually stunning romp, and he still left the theater quite satisfied, if reeling (movie pun) a bit from sensory overload. Plenty to do and see in April across Michigan

Spring break begins today for most students in Michigan. And for those lucky enough to enjoy the extended winter - who didn't run away to parts south - there's plenty to do and experience in The Mitten. MLive entertainment guru John Gonzalez compiled a list of more than 100 things to do across the state in April. There is no way we are getting to all of these, but it will be fun trying! MORE
