Schools with highest vaccine waivers face public disclosure bill
 
More than 1,000 Michigan schools would have to publicly post their vaccination waiver rates under a bill recently introduced in the state House. The bill would require schools with a higher than 5 percent waiver rate to disclose that information. Michigan is one of 19 states that allow a "philosophical" objection to otherwise mandatory vaccinations. MORE

Month after cardiac arrest, young racer back behind the wheel
hat 
A month ago, 21-year-old Ben Welch went into cardiac arrest. The scare put his life on hold, including his time behind the wheel at Berlin Raceway in Marne. Welch was back in the driver seat this weekend and said the incident has given him a new outlook on life. "It feels like I'm back to normal," Welch said. MORE
