Vaccine waiver rates leaving Michigan schools vulnerable to disease   According to public health data, hundreds of Michigan schools are vulnerable to outbreaks of diseases like measles and whooping cough based on the number of children with vaccination waivers. Public officials recommend a 95-percent vaccination rate to protect against measles, the most contagious disease.
