University of Michigan will pay to host 2020 presidential debate hat  On Friday, we learned the University of Michigan was awarded a presidential debate one month before the 2020 general election. Award-winning 'cube' house is on the market for the first time   The Balogh House won an architectural award before it was built. It earned its spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. Today, it has its own wikipedia page. And for the first time since it was completed in 1959, it is on the market. Recapping a (mostly) fun weekend of football hat  It was a decent football weekend in the state of Michigan. Numerous prep teams punched their playoff tickets. Michigan avoided a humiliating loss to Illinois. And the Detroit Lions didn't lose. (They get their chance tonight!) The only problem was Michigan State's humbling loss at Wisconsin. But those Badgers are pretty good. After completing a Triple Mitten Mauling* (wins over Central Michigan, U-M and MSU), Wisconsin demanded the deed to the Upper Peninsula. Fair request. Where to stay in Michigan's wine country this fall     A trip to Northern Michigan's wine country is a must. It could be a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list excursion. You could make it an annual affair. But once you are up there, you're gonna wanna stay for a while. It is a bit of a drive from the population centers in southern Michigan.
