Billboards aimed at urging businesses to reopen despite executive orders from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer have popped up in Michigan. A U.P. business owner is behind the campaign. Erik Kiilunen wants residents to "stand up peacefully" to the orders, which require some businesses to remain closed to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. On May 13, 1980, a tornado hit the city of Kalamazoo, carving out an 11-mile path of destruction. Five were killed and more than 70 people were injured. The damage left 1,200 residents displaced from their homes. Officials estimated the tornado caused $50 million in damage, destroying houses and businesses. We've had freeze warnings this week. It's not what most people want in May. Luckily, the weather is set to change dramatically. The forecast is showing some 80-degree days for Michigan next week. But, even this week will give us some warmer weather, with temperatures heading into the 70s by the weekend. U.S. Navy Blue Angels fly over southeast Michigan
 
Michiganders in Ann Arbor, Detroit and surrounding areas were looking up on Tuesday, as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels treated residents to a flyover. The flyover was scheduled to show support for health care workers, first responders, military members and other essential workers.
