Who's got control over local medical marijuana operations?
 
The Michigan Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on who has ultimate authority over medical marijuana caregivers. At issue is whether local governments can restrict where caregivers grow marijuana. The Michigan Court of Appeals already has upheld a trial court's ruling that the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act does not allow for a municipality to restrict where caregivers can grow medical marijuana. Byron Township, just south of Grand Rapids, the Michigan Townships Association and the Michigan Municipal League have appealed that ruling. MORE
