Detroit Lions cornerback Teez Tabor was a brash, unapologetic playmaker in college at Florida. He doesn't say much these days as he tries to find his way in the NFL. However, he found his voice last week when speaking to a group of Detroit students. And, boy, does he have a story to tell. Here is an excerpt from Kyle Meinke's story: "Tabor is 522 miles from Washington D.C., but looks and sounds like he's on the block back home. He was these kids, after all, growing up amidst drug dealers and gang bangers, and it wasn't that long ago either. He's still only 23. Now he's pouring out his life story, hoping it can help these boys survive, too." MORE |
