Here are two stories about the good people who walk among us   The heartwarming stories out there sometimes get lost in the daily shuffle, as the din from hard news can prove difficult to overcome. However, we enter the weekend buoyed by the efforts of Michiganders who recently went out of their way to be kind to their fellow humans: A teacher in Davison escorted a pair of girls - along with his own daughter - to a daddy-daughter dance after their father unexpectedly passed away. A restaurant worker in Battle Creek drove 450 miles round trip after work one night to deliver a pizza to a man in hospice care. These acts of kindness weren't random. It is now or never for high school football teams on the playoff bubble hat The high school football regular season ends tonight. That means it is last call for teams needing a sixth win to automatically qualify for the playoffs. There are quite a few bubble teams across the state facing this predicament. There are even a handful of games on tonight's slate featuring a pair of five-win squads. These games are, basically, pre-playoff playoff games, and the tension should be palpable.
