Ever wanted to live like a rockstar? Well, OK, maybe that isn't practical. How about living where a rockstar used to live? That gives you street cred, and you can still get to work on time. It's a win-win! Jack White of The White Stripes lived at this lovely home in Detroit's historic Indian Village neighborhood from 2001-2007. (The band even recorded an album there. Sweet!) It is back on the market and could be yours for a cool $1.2 million. Even if that price isn't toe-tappingly enticing, check out these pics to see where you could have lived if you never stopped practicing guitar. The long wait is over. The college football season opened Thursday night with a smattering of games. More importantly, Michigan State kicks off its season tonight against visiting Utah State, while Michigan opens Saturday night at Notre Dame. Western, Eastern and Central all get underway this weekend, too. We can't wait to see if MSU can build off last year's 10-3 season, or if U-M rebounds from its pedestrian 8-5 campaign, or if either can challenge The Ohio State University for supremacy in the Big Ten East. Yep, we are ready for some football! MORE ►Quick observations from another ugly Lions loss to finish preseason ►High school football scores from Week 2
You know a milkshake is going to be good when they start with a cup covered in sprinkles. One Michigan bakery really knows how to craft an impressive milkshake, or maybe we should say many impressive milkshakes. M Street Baking Co. offers several sugary concoctions such as the birthday party shake and the cookies and cream shake, both pictured here. As you can see, they pack these beverages with goodies galore, from cotton candy to lollipops to chunks of chocolate. We can see why they sell hundreds of them each day. This is the ultimate sweet tooth snack and MLive milkshake beat writer Ed Pevos has the scoop.
