First in the nation, Ohio to start screening newborns for Duchenne muscular dystrophy
Ohio will become the first state in the U.S. to screen newborns for a severe form of muscle disease called Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Gov. Mike DeWine's office recently announced.

Miami Conservancy rate changes leave some paying more than $10K for flood protection
More than 83% of people paying proposed maintenance and capital assessments to the Miami Conservancy District for flood protection will spend less than $250 per year on the charges, according to data provided by the district. But for nearly 150 properties throughout Montgomery, Butler and Miami counties, the bill will be $5,000 or higher annually.
