Michigan women unlikely to support Trump in 2020, according to poll
 
A poll of women in four Midwestern states indicates Michigan women are less likely to support President Donald Trump than women in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Just 27% of Michigan women would vote for Trump if the election was held today, according to polling released by Baldwin Wallace University. While female support in the poll is stronger for the president in the other three states, it still looks like an uphill climb for Trump in all four Midwest locations that went red for him in 2016. MORE

Michigan cancer patient loses battle to buy untested marijuana

Sherry Hoover, a late-stage cancer patient, claimed the state of Michigan was violating the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act by depriving her of reasonable access to medical marijuana. Hoover wanted patients to gain access to untested marijuana, like they previously could purchase from caregivers. A caregiver exception, which allowed sales of untested product, expired last year. MORE

Michigan working on a warm, wet winter
 
As far as Michigan winters go, this one is on pace to come out on the warmer side of things. December was about five degrees warmer than usual and, so far, January is about seven degrees warmer than normal, according to MLive Chief Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa.  On top of the warmth, it's also been a wetter winter than most for some areas of the state. MORE
