Well, thanks for nothing polar vortex. Not only did last week's plunging temperatures chill us to the bone, it froze Lake Superior and created an ice bridge from Isle Royale to the mainland. One of the island's newest residents took advantage of the situation and fled her new home. A female wolf, which had been captured in Minnesota this summer and relocated to Isle Royale, used the ice bridge to return to northern Minnesota.
