Celebrating the Tigers' 1968 World Series title: Experience Game 7 as it happened
50 years ago, Detroit Tigers fans witnessed the completion of one of the greatest World Series comebacks of all time. The Tigers trailed in the 1968 Series three games to one against the mighty St. Louis Cardinals and the dazzling Bob Gibson. But our boys didn't give up, winning the next three games. All summer long MLive sports reporters produced a series of "where are they now" features on the players who were a part of that magical Tigers run to the title. Our look back on one of the greatest seasons in franchise history ends today with the replay of the historical play-by-play from Game 7 of the World Series. The action starts at 2 p.m. on mlive.com. Gibson and Mickey Lolich will be on the hill. We hope you'll be there, too. MORE

Hotel shares treasured 'Somewhere in Time' pics ahead of annual event

The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is gearing up for one of its annual traditions: Celebrating the 1980 film 'Somewhere in Time.' The fantastical plot of the film includes a character (played by the late Christopher Reeve) using self-hypnosis to travel back in time. The snarky part of us wishes they could time travel back and make a better movie. But with an 88% audience approval rating, go ahead and ignore snarky us. MORE
