Shop runs out of product after 2 days and other stories from Week 1 of retail pot sales

For all intents and purposes, it was a good week to go green in Michigan. Long lines and shortages were the norm during the first week of recreational marijuana sales in the state. A trio of Ann Arbor businesses opened Dec. 1. Shops in Morenci and Evart also are open. However, the Evart shop opened Friday and was out of product by Sunday. It expects to get a fresh shipment today. In all, state officials said the five stores combined for $1.6 million in sales. The state Marijuana Regulatory Agency has issued 10 retail licenses to date with more to come. MORE
