We had two big celebrations of Michigan history yesterday |
With Labor Day starting off the week, it can be hard to remember there's more special days coming up, specifically a few Michigan celebrations. Yesterday the state celebrated 906 Day, a day to honor Michigan's Upper Peninsula and its beauty. We also had the 70th anniversary of the S.S Badger yesterday. The National Historic Landmark has been connecting Michigan and Wisconsin ever since. What a day!

See which Michigan airports fly the most passengers |
It matters: Passenger counts are important because they help determine how much federal funding an airport will receive in future years – not to mention the local economic impact. Here’s a look at how passenger numbers have changed at Michigan’s commercial airports in the past 10 years. Keep in mind: More flights have been canceled so far this year than in 2021, according to Simple Flying, and federal data shows U.S. flight delays are at a decade-high, in part due to short-staffed airlines and pent-up demand for travel.
ICYMI: In yesterday's newsletter we mentioned how low-cost flights direct to hot spots are taking off at Michigan airports. |

Every burger here is slider sized and there’s usually two dozen of them to chose from on any given night, including its “Mystery Meat” slider. From Michigan's Best: Have you heard of this Bucket Bar that provides a ‘yummy creation’ in a casual atmosphere? From herb-crusted pizza to Philly cheesesteaks, Golden Sands Golf Course & Bucket Bar has been a family designation on the lakeshore in Silver Lake for decades.
