10 takeaways from Tuesday's primary election
Michiganders turned out in record numbers to take part in Tuesday's primary election. The wide-open governor's race probably had something to do with it. No doubt you know by now that Bill Schuette and Gretchen Whitmer will square off in the Nov. 8 election. But let's take a moment to unpack what transpired Tuesday, and go behind the voting tally. Foodies, its time to strap on your bibs and hightail your taste buds on over to Furniture City for the annual Grand Rapids Restaurant Week. Of course, Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh isn't tipping his cards on the matter just yet. (He's gone on record saying he likes all the QBs in the U-M QB room.) However, Patterson is winning over teammates and other coaches on the staff with his skillset and demeanor. MORE

Pictured Rocks considers fee increase for campers

Are you planning a camping trip at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore this summer? Well, you should be. Not only because it is one of the most beautiful places you could have the pleasure to visit, but because this summer might be the last time to camp at the current rates. Pictured Rocks staff members are asking for public input on a proposal to increase camping fees to $20 for every site along the Lakeshore. That's an increase of $4 to $6 per night, depending on the site. The fees collected from campers go toward improving the experience at Pictured Rocks. Whether it's at the current price or an increased fee, we think this Michigan destination is always worth it. MORE
