Lawmakers slow to respond to call for financial transparency
 
Transparency in Lansing from our state lawmakers is, in a word, lacking. Michigan ranks dead last in the country for its transparency laws. It isn't a good look. So, to spark the conversation on this issue, we filled the void and sent out voluntary financial disclosure forms. It has been a week. We've gotten one back so far. Going down a ski jump in winter is an intimidating endeavor. It isn't much less so going up one when the snow clears. Especially when you are trying to reach the top as fast as humanly possible. Racers returned to Copper Peak in Ironwood this past weekend for the opportunity to see who can climb 40 stories of ski jump faster.
