Indoor dining restarts in Michigan with limited capacity, 10 p.m. curfew After 10 weeks, Michigan's ban on indoor dining has come to an end. As of yesterday, restaurants and bars within the state were allowed to reopen, though there are some rules in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. Establishments are only allowed to welcome up to 25% of their building capacity or 100 people at a time, whichever amount is smaller. They also must close by 10 p.m. In West Michigan, reporters spoke with excited customers and nervous business owners on the first day back. “Twenty-five percent is going to be tough,” said Ronald Estlick, owner of Lakeside Café in Muskegon. “The 50% was tough. The civil rights advocacy group recorded an 11% decline in active hate groups last year, though researchers said social media is allowing people to become radicalized without formally joining a specific organization. SPLC researchers said a loose collection of domestic extremists are gathering new supporters mobilized by false narratives about the presidential election and white nationalist ideology that became more mainstream in recent years. You'll find his two sons and neighborhood kids playing rounds of ice hockey. And they aren't just playing on a frozen puddle. Antrobius built a very complete hockey rink in the yard. It has flood lights, regulation hockey goals, boards, a scoreboard, a warming tent and a locker room. The rink's annual set up starts each year around October. Monday, Benson outlined a legislative agenda that also included making Election Day a state holiday, banning open carry of guns within 100 feet of a polling location and giving clerks two weeks ahead of Election Day to process absentee ballots.
