Keep yourself safe on the Great Lakes. |
We’ve started this newsletter off quite a few times with warnings on the danger of the Great Lakes. And today, we’re doing it again. After another tragic drowning incident, officials urge caution while exploring the waters.
Remember, the flag system established by the DNR shows when it is safe to enter the water, and when it is not. If you ever find yourself in a situation struggling with water over your head, the Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project recommends to flip, float and follow.

Chemicals are used as part of a three stage flotation circuit to separate the nickel and copper inside the Humboldt Mill near Ishpeming in Michigan's Upper Peninsula on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
