Protestors angry with Gov. Whitmer's stay-at-home order gridlock Michigan capitol

Thousands of protestors gathered in Lansing Wednesday to show their opposition to aspects of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home order, which aims to limit the spread of the coronavirus within the state. Many of the protest participants stayed in their vehicles, honking their horns and causing traffic backups, but others took to the lawn of the capitol. Some carried homemade signs disparaging Whitmer or celebrating President Donald Trump. Others waived the iconic yellow Gadsden flag. Police monitored the situation but did not issue citations for social-distancing violations. MORE

What astronauts can teach us about sheltering in place

People across the country are being asked to stay indoors for the time being to prevent the spread of COVID-19. While you might not have experience with this type of situation, there is a group of people who do -- astronauts. When lifting off into outer space, astronauts are forced to stay in a small space for a prolonged period of time. That means we can learn a few things from them. MORE
