Trump says USMCA 'ended a nightmare' for Michigan auto workers
 
President Donald Trump made his first visit of the year to Michigan on Thursday, touring a Warren auto parts supplier before speaking to a crowd of workers. His comments included a focus on his recent signing of the Unites States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, which replaces the often-criticized NAFTA. He called finding a solution for workers "probably the biggest reason I ran for office." Employees of the supplier, Dana Inc., were allowed to take the microphone, thanking Trump for creating a positive economic environment. MORE

With Whitmer's finance piece in place, road funding issue remains

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer got approval Thursday to issue $3.5 billion in bonds to finance road work. While it will help with current needs on state roadways, the plan isn't a longterm solution for Michigan's road problems, Whitmer said.
