Thousands cross Mackinac Bridge for 62nd Labor Day walk
 
Under mostly cloudy skies that offered a hint of rain, Michigan marked Labor Day during the 62nd annual Mackinac Bridge walk. The Mighty Mac once again was shut down to vehicle traffic Monday morning. Governor Gretchen Whitmer made the five-mile trek for the first time in office. She eventually was joined by about 30,000 other walkers. MORE

On WWII 80th anniversary, the story of one Jewish family
