On WWII 80th anniversary, the story of one Jewish family hat  MLive public interest reporter Julie Mack is an inquisitive sort. (It's a trait that comes in handy as a journalist!) So, when she came across an old black and white portrait in a family album, she couldn't help but wonder what happened to those in the picture. The picture was taken in 1907 in Austria. Much of lower Michigan has chance of significant severe weather   The southern half of Lower Michigan could be affected by a significant severe weather outbreak this afternoon. MLive Chief Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa warns that could mean hail or wind speeds of 75 mph or greater. Count oddsmakers among those that don't like the Lions' chances hat  The NFL loves its parity. A team goes from worst in its division one year to first the next basically every year. The Detroit Lions would love to join in the parity fun. But, alas, the franchise falls short of a division crown basically every year. And don't even mention a run to the Super Bowl. These guys gotta win a playoff game first.
