Grand Rapids ward with highest black population gets least investment from city
 
Grand Rapids' Third Ward is a diverse area, with a black population of 33.7% -- the highest in the city. While the southeast side of the city is rich in diversity, it isn't rich in investment dollars from the city. Tax breaks for developers, major infrastructure projects and even parks mostly go to other areas of the city. The Third Ward also falls behind when it comes to private investments, with less than 2% of those dollars spent within the ward's boundaries. As Lions fans continue to vent over a hard loss to the Packers on Monday night, the NFL has acknowledged a controversial call  made by refs during the game in Green Bay. Defensive end Trey Flowers was twice called for illegal hands to the face during crucial moments. While fans are disputing both those calls and others made Monday, the NFL has only admitted the second call against Flowers was an error.
