A mass community clean-up effort was underway in Perry Saturday morning as residents, first responders and city officials worked together to haul away fallen trees and debris in the wake of a tornado that struck down Friday night. The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Perry at 7:51 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, traveling three miles across the city with wind speeds up to 95 miles per hour. You can see the tornado move in this video provided by Bill Bouwman. We are continuing in a very regular storm track, and today's storm looks the most vigorous. |

In this case, the layers included old tires filled with aggregate -- particulate like sand, gravel and stone -- along with shredded scrap tire and geotextile fabric. While we're speaking of orange cones: Here are 10 road closures that highlight this week’s construction in Michigan. |
