Boblo boat being restored to former glory, but not in Michigan
 
Boblo Island Amusement Park is no more. But a pair of groups are trying to restore the steamers that once ferried park goers across the Detroit River. This past summer, the S.S. Ste. Claire was engulfed in flames in Metro Detroit, but owners are determined to rebuild. The outlook is a bit rosier for the S.S. Columbia. The boat currently is docked in Buffalo, New York, undergoing restoration with the intention of finding a new berth on the Hudson River. MORE
