Ice pyramid comes to life with colorful lights
 
Todd Pilczuk had watched the YouTube videos. He figured, why not give it a shot? The weather was right. He had the supplies. Why not build an ice pyramid? The results are spectacular. MLive multimedia specialist Cory Morse stopped by the West Michigan man's home and captured some stunning footage. The nearly 20-foot ice sculpture is impressive in the day, but it really comes to life at night with LED lights giving it a magical glow. MORE

Piece of automotive history crashes onto Detroit boulevard
 
The historic Packard Plant pedestrian bridge tumbled to the ground Wednesday. The bridge that once spanned East Grand Boulevard in Detroit is now in the roadway it once helped automotive workers avoid. The Albert Kahn-designed plant was constructed in 1903. At the time, it was considered the most advanced automobile factory in the world. MORE

When a Saginaw Township police officer approached a vehicle driving without its headlights early Tuesday morning, he had little warning the parole-absconding driver behind the wheel was about to open fire on him.
