'Short-term extension' of stay-at-home order likely necessary, Whitmer says
 
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer explained  during a press conference Wednesday that some form of the state's stay-at-home order will probably be extended past April 30. Whitmer said an extension is likely necessary to limit the spread of COVID-19. She also intends to announce a plan later this week focused on loosening restrictions.
